Summary :
This SAP Note addresses runtime errors such as GETWA_CANT_CLEAR, ASSIGN_BASE_TOO_SHORT, GETWA_WRONG_LENGTH, PER FORM_PARAMETER_TOO_SHORT, and CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_LENG due to nametab inconsistencies triggered by changes in structure activation in an active client-server environment. Such inconsistencies occur when the buffer holding structure information isn’t immediately updated across all local systems following a structural change, relying instead on a time interval set in the system profile for refresh. The note recommends regenerating affected programs, where the list of involved programs and structure lengths can be identified via the associated short dump. Additionally, for mass regeneration of programs linked to a specific table, Report TOUCHTAB (available from Release 3.0C) is suggested.
