Summary :
SAP Note addresses improvements in variable sorting on the selection screen for Report Writer and Reportfos Painter as of Release 4.5. Variables are now sorted based on: 1) variable type with value variables preceding set variables, 2) the order of characteristics in the library, 3) from-value/single value/to-value, and 4) the variable’s default value. Additional enhancements include a new sorting criterion by variable name post-default value in Releases 4.5A to 4.6B, and subsequently as a standard system feature from 4.6C onwards. Instructions for manual adjustments using transaction GR22 and modification instructions (114808 and 918516) are provided, requiring report regeneration post-implementation.
