SAP Note 16983 - RSTG chain destroyed

Component : UI services, screen, batch input -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/16983 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
In SAP environments, an error indicating a destroyed RSTG chain alongside developer trace notes of overwritten memory suggests failures in the application server's memory chains. The consequence is likely incorrect data handling and process interruptions. To address this, reproducing the error via the ABAP Debugger's memory monitoring might expose the initiating fault. Kernel extensions have been enhanced to provide detailed trace outputs and memory checks post-error for kernels such leakage diagnostics include inspecting memory blocks in the 46D, 640, and 700 kernel versions. Patch levels for resolving identified defects and extensive memory area evaluations are specified, improving stability and diagnostic capabilities.
