Summary :
After upgrading to PI 7.31, users may encounter RFC authorization errors for function modules "RFCPING" and "TASK_VITAL_START_MONITORING" in the ABAP system monitor (SM21). This issue arises from omitted configuration steps in the 'PI Upgrade' and 'PI Upgrade EHP' tasks. To resolve this, generate the profile for ABAP role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_SERVICE_USER manually in client 000 and the Integration Server client using the PRGN_GEN_PROFILES_FOR_ROLES function module with IV_USERCOMPARE=X. Alternatively, deploy the Support Packages and Patches of Software Component 'LM CONFIGURATION' and subsequently execute the "PI Upgrade EHP" Wizard for automation.
