SAP Note 16710 - Availability control cannot be activated

Component : Budget - Budgeting

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/16710 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
In SAP systems, users experience issues where the active availability control fails to generate warnings or errors for transactions or purchase orders due to inactivated availability checks. This issue stems from the COFC component being flagged as inactive in system tables. To resolve this, users should verify the activation of availability control by accessing transaction CJ30 or CJ30. If the menu entry 'Refer. avail. control' under 'Additional functions' is inactive, users should activate availability control as outlined in the PS documentation and check the tolerance settings via transaction OPSC. Additionally, ensure the COFC component is activated in the TRWCA system table for accurate functioning.
