Summary :
SAP's Information Platform Services (SBOP Information Plat SVCS) encountering issues with license key retrieval where an embedded key exists and a download is necessary for specific configurations. Primarily, if a full installation of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 along with Data Services/Information Steward isn’t present. To proceed, download and install Information Platform Services from the SAP BusinessObjects Data Services/Information Steward 4.0 section on SMP. Installation must be initiated using InstallIPS.exe (or InstallIPS on Linux), not the conventional setup.exe, ensuring proper configuration with the embedded license key. Dependencies include Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package, necessary for using InstallIPS.exe. Information Platform Services 4.0 SP2 is available for Full Install in the 'Installations and Upgrades' area. Future updates will be posted in 'Support Packages and Patches'.
