Summary :
Beginning with SAP BW 7.30 SP5, the Planning Applications KIT is available, enabling execution of BW-IP standard functions with HANA optimization. Users must license 'SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver' to utilize this feature. The toolkit integration may result in unaccelerated or erroneous executions of some standard BW-IP functions within HANA. Technical configurations and performance considerations, such as additional data round trips and limitations introduced by ABAP-specific features, need attention. Multiple switches are provided to control the enablement of HANA optimizations on a granular level, including prospective deactivation in upcoming service packs.
