In SAP Solution Manager 7.1 or higher, an error can occur due to outdated software version information in SAP CR CONTENT. This situation arises because the source system for software versions, previously transaction SMSY, is now the Landscape Management Database (LMDB) synced with the System Landscape Directory (SLD). To resolve the issue, it’s essential to frequently update the SAP CR CONTENT within SLD, following guidelines from Note 669669 every six to eight weeks. Ignoring these updates, particularly before running SOLMAN_SETUP, can prevent correct application functioning as the AS Java Version NetWeaver 7.02 packaged with Solution Manager 7.1 may be outdated.
