SAP Note 1617234 - Incorrect SLD security role assignments after upgrade

Component : System Landscape Directory / Component Repository -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1617234 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
After an SAP upgrade, users might face access issues with the System Landscape Directory (SLD). Errors such as failure of the SLDAPICUST test and SLDCHECK indicate permissions issues due to unupdated role mappings following system updates, especially if manual changes were made pre-upgrade. For resolution, ensure correct configuration of SLD roles via the AS Java user administration interface, aligning role actions with required settings. Additionally, reestablish proper role-to-group mappings in SLD settings to rectify access discrepancies. Adhering to this methodology should restore user abilities to interact with SLD post-upgrade successfully.
