Summary :
SAP systems hosted on VMware virtualized hardware encounter limitations with traditional monitoring tools and transactions, which are not capable of distinguishing between virtual and physical hardware environments. This lack of distinction can obscure vital resource information, as virtual environments only use parts of the underlying physical hardware, shared among multiple guest OSs. To address these challenges, it is necessary to implement enhanced SAP System Monitoring. This involves installing VMware Tools, adding VMware's directory to the Windows system path, and activating specific host parameters to access and monitor data effectively in transaction OS07(N).
