Summary :
In the identified SAP note, it was observed that multiple solman_setup background jobs simultaneously initiating RFC connections can degrade performance in the OSS system, although direct impacts on customer systems are absent. The issue involves several specific jobs listed in ST710 SP3 where the opening of RFC connections can fail. A scheduling bug in solman_setup before ST400 SP26 and ST710 SP1, allocating jobs at a 25-minute fixed instead of a random offset, resulted in excessive RFC connection requests concurrently from customers in the same timezone. This misconfiguration causes job failures during peak times. The remedy involves implementing corrections with the SM_RANDOMIZE_OSS_JOBS report, delivered either as part of the AGS_SOLAR_IMG_TOOL package or as a local object, to reconfigure the job scheduling correctly across affected systems.
