Summary :
This SAP Note discusses the limitations and potential solutions for using IDocs to create inbound deliveries from outbound deliveries where handling units (HUs) and batch split structures are involved. It is noted that HUs and batch structures from outbound deliveries cannot be reassigned to inbound deliveries in the standard system. To handle such cases, new HUs can be created replicating the original hierarchy during the creation of the inbound delivery. Modifications are possible in automotive systems, allowing the reassignment of HUs by setting the ASG qualifier in the E1EDL39 component of the IDoc, simulating a stock transport scenario.
