Summary :
This SAP Note addresses issues related to the installation of SAP Business Suite applications (SAP ERP 6.0 incl. EHP5, SAP CRM 7.0 incl. EHP1, and SAP SRM 7.0 incl. EHP1) on Sybase ASE 15.7.0.002 across various platforms including Windows Server 2008, SuSE SLES 11 SP1, and RedHat RHEL6. Problems encountered post-installation guide publication necessitated this documentation. Corrective actions include detailed steps through general information, pre-installation, installation, and post-installation processes, adjusted May to July 2011. Emphasis is placed on implementing mandatory SAP Note 1581010 immediately following installation, verifying database versions, addressing SQL errors during ABAP import, and ensuring adequate system capability such as sufficient memory and proper Microsoft component installations prior to setup.
