SAP Note 1579627 - RFC timeout or Server is not responding to RFC calls

Component : MDM ABAP Application Programming Interface -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1579627 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When utilizing the ABAP API, RFC connection issues to MDM may lead to hanging or timeout errors, notably during high-volume RFC call periods. The problem impacts all MDM 7.1 versions and can cause application non-responsiveness. To address this, reducing the number of RFC calls and increasing the CPIC_MAX_CONV parameter to 1000 is recommended as a temporary measure. A permanent fix corrects RFC connection closures, ensuring they terminate only post a successful RFC call. Corrections implemented in MDM 7.1, across various service packs, stabilize this functionality, warranting updates to affected MDM components. Further regression testing is advisable for complete resolution assurance.
