Summary :
SAP offers two tax calculation solutions in Brazil: TAXBRJ and its successor TAXBRA, introduced with SAP Note 664855. TAXBRJ can present challenges especially when adapting to new legal requirements or business process changes, and issues are noted particularly with SAP for Mining. TAXBRA, a more modern, flexible solution with new features, is strongly recommended for new SAP customers, although support remains for TAXBRJ on a project basis. Updates for TAXBRA, including migration guidelines and document upgrades, are planned, but currently, TAXBRA is not localized for SAP Oil & Gas.
