Summary :
Executing UNIX commands based on the properties of an output request is possible. The use of scripts in UNIX to call specific printer layouts is also supported, provided the printer accommodates such layouts. Parameters such as command patterns and command lines are treated similarly in NT systems. To enhance printer adaptability, the list of host spooler commands has been extended in Release 2.1g/2.2a and further expanded in later releases. Examples include &P for output device, &L for layout, and additional parameters for the printing client, job name, priority, and more. These parameters enable the customization of spooler commands in UNIX environments.
