Summary :
Post-upgrade, users report that application and system fault responses in synchronous SOAP receiver scenarios appear in an unexpected format when received from the target system, not adhering to prior configurations. This discrepancy results from implementations outlined in SAP Note 1109648 which adjust the management of fault messages in non-SOAP mode, altering the response structure sent to PI Integration Engine. The affected versions include XI 3.0 SP22, PI 7.0 SP19 Patch 7, and all enhancement package releases for 7.0. Resolving this issue involves applying a patch that reintroduces configurable response handling via the noSOAPMakeSysErrFromResponseFault parameter, with default adjustments.
