Summary :
If the SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment variable directs to a centrally stored read-only Saplogon.ini file without comingled SaplogonTree.xml, launching SAP Logon 720 results in displaying an outdated GUI similar to 710 without advanced features. Misfunction extends to Bex analyzer wherein initiating new connections via sapgui.exe results in an RFC error. Moreover, double-clicking a SAPShortcut file fails to establish new links. Terminating and restarting the existing SAP Logon session resolves these issues temporarily. A designated patch in future SAP GUI for Windows updates aims to rectify this, with patch details available in specified SAP Notes or upon future inquiries.
