SAP Note 1492533 - FAGLL03: Ledger group not always filled

Component : Reporting/Analysis/Display -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1492533 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When using transaction FAGLB03 in SAP to display general ledger account balances, the ledger group (LDGRP) might not populate. This issue arises mainly due to the method by which FAGLL03 fetches data, dependent on the account's master data settings. For line or open item-managed accounts, data is sourced through a 'join' of index tables (BSIS/BSAS or document header table BKPF) and the new general ledger table (e.g., FAGLFLEXA). Despite this, only the BKPF table houses the ledger group, leading to potential non-filling of LDGRP for certain account types. A workaround is setting LDGRP as a display-special field in FAGLL03 as per SAP Note 984305, which affects the field catalog replacement with U_LDGRP. Post update in Release 605 Support Package 2, LDGRP is filled automatically.
