Summary :
SAP MDM issue where users received "Insufficient rights for operation" errors despite having proper privileges was traced to a fault in repository and DB connection handling. When a repository is unloaded, the tag resets to an empty string, causing potential mismatch and incorrect user role loading. Workarounds include using a single repository per MDS or remounting upon issues. Fixes were implemented in MDM 7.1 SP03 and later versions, enhancing repository tag handling and enforcing accurate DB connection validations. Affected areas include DB Layer and Security, with primary modifications on MDM Server and checks advised on MDM Console.
