Component : Startup Service - Linux

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1437105 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses issues with SAP instances not adhering to operating system limits set for user adm, affecting file and socket operations among others. The root cause is identified as overly restrictive OS defaults which do not align with the needs of certain SAP instances, especially AS Java types. To rectify this, the note recommends adjusting the OS settings to ensure that the limits are properly applied to both adm users and sapstartsrv daemons. It provides detailed guidance on setting these limits globally and for individual processes via platform-specific adjustments and updates to the sapinit script in accordance with Note 823941. This ensures compatibility across different startup methods, whether through direct shell commands or via web service clients.
