SAP Note 141901 - Customer-specific fonts for PDF conversion

Component : SAPscript -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/141901 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When converting SAPscript documents to PDF using non-standard fonts like Z_ARIAL, formatting errors may occur, primarily because Adobe Acrobat supports only 14 built-in fonts, requiring other fonts to be embedded. The CONVERT_OTF tool usually substitutes with standard fonts like "Helvetica" or "Courier" but cannot replicate layout specifics, leading to potential errors during PDF generation. Specific bug occurrences in versions 3.1H to 4.5A with such custom fonts have been addressed in various Hot Packages to correct these issues and improve PDF output fidelity.
