Summary :
This SAP Note delineates the support strategy for SAP GUI for Windows on the Microsoft Windows 7 platform. Initially, support for SAP GUI 7.10 on Windows 7 was provided on a pilot basis to facilitate early adoption post-Microsoft's release announcement. However, subsequent to Microsoft terminating support for Visual Studio 2005—used for developing SAP GUI 7.10—SAP's ability to extend support for this version was limited. Full support for SAP GUI 7.10 on Windows 7 was announced but with stringent patch level requirements and a recommendation to transition to SAP GUI 7.20 before the 2011 end-of-support to leverage newer features and extended support lifespan.
