SAP Note 141244 - Deactivating the application log during data transfer

Component : Articles - Integration Technology ALE

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/141244 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
During the initial transfer of article master data into the SAP R/3 system, logging messages in the application log can significantly slow down the process due to the large volume of data involved. SAP Note suggests a modification to control the application log behavior, introducing a variable `NO_APPL_LOG` to toggle logging. Setting `NO_APPL_LOG` to 'X' disables logging, enhancing performance. SAP also offers a way to deactivate logging in IDoc or BAPI using the control flag in Release 4.6A, further optimizing performance during massive data transfers. Refer to Note 460310 for disabling logs and Note 376555 for message reduction.
