SAP Note 1403974 - Determining the maximum connections in transaction SMQS

Component : RFC -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1403974 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Overutilization of dialog work processes and delays in tRFC or qRFC processing occur due to improper "Max. Conn." settings in SMQS for registered RFC destinations. To resolve, adjust the "Max. Conn." setting to one quarter of the minimum available dialog work processes in the destination’s target system. This needs to be rounded down and calculated based on the lesser count of dialog processes available during day or night operations. Transaction SMQS allows configuration for different destination types, specifically NONE and type 3, while type T settings correspond to the capabilities of the SAP Java Connector or RFC servers' gateway registrations.

Key words :
dialog work processes results, dialog work processes, dialog work process, qrfc logical units, remote function call, sap java connector, central user administration, call transaction smlg, call transaction rz04, goto -> qrfc resources
