SAP Note 1343920 - Analyzer: "Certificate Expired" warning with SAP default WB

Component : 7.x Analyzer Frontend - Queries in Workbooks

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1343920 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When using SAP's default workbook in BEx with a signed certificate, a warning on an expired certificate from SAP AG may appear after re-opening the workbook. This is due to Excel's handling of expired signatures, which it does not remove automatically, unlike valid signatures. Users can manually delete the expired digital signature by accessing Excel's macro editor, navigating to "Tools -> Digital Signature," and selecting remove. The recommended long-term solution is to apply Frontend Support Package 901 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Frontend, containing an updated default workbook with a renewed certificate. Details are available in note 1294453 and the availability schedule in note 1085218.
