SAP Note 132013 - ATP: Performance when reading RESB

Component : Availability Check -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/132013 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When the ATP server is inactive, extended query times are noticed in availability checks due to the large volume of dependent requirements in the RESB table not relevant for the check. Consequently, SAP advises enhancing RESB's Index 'M' with the 'BDART' field. This modification, performed via Transaction SE11, optimizes table query efficiency. Before implementing this change, the existing stipulations in Note 124669 up to Release 4.5A should be reviewed. Users must be aware that such index modification could potentially affect other system functionalities. Attached program adjustments must also be implemented alongside this index amendment.
