Summary :
In SAP NetWeaver PI 7.10 and above, post-installation of the de-central Adapter Engine requires executing the "PI Adapter Engine Usage Type setup" CTC Wizard, which is mandatory. If, after successful completion, the Adapter Engine is not registered in the SLD, the root cause could be the non-refreshing of AII Properties during setup. To rectify, a workaround involving restarting the decentralized Adapter Engine is suggested. Additionally, this issue is addressed in specific Support Packages for the software component "LM CONFIGURATION", covering SAP NetWeaver 7.10 SP08, 7.11 SP03, and 7.20.
