SAP Note 129584 - Change activity type/delete activity type planning

Component : Planning - Controlling

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/129584 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When updating the activity type category or cost element for internal allocation of an activity type in SAP, users may find that the system continues to reference old values during planning despite modifications in the master record (Transaction KL02). The root cause lies in how activity type changes are treated in relation to cost centers (Transaction KP26). Deleting planned values or actual postings does not fully reset system behavior; instead, all data, including control records in table CSSL, must be completely removed. Using custom report RKPLNC29, users can eliminate residual control records, ensuring updated master data is properly reflected in system planning processes.

Key words :
cost center/activity type exists, possibly remaining coka records, delete activity type planning, cost center/activity type, internal activity allocation, activity type category, create report rkplnc29, planned cost center, table cssl forae1, cost center
