Summary :
SAP NetWeaver Identity Management and other identity management systems now support the distribution of productive passwords. Changes in public user management APIs accommodate this by implementing a new optional parameter, PRODUCTIVE_PWD, in BAPI_USER_CARANGE. Security enhancements include using SNC for secure logon sessions and an additional authorization requirement utilizing authorization object S_USER_GRP with a new activity 'PP' for password setting. After updating with the appropriate support package, users gain access to updated documentations, a new authorization activity, and technical modification facility for object USER. Manual adjustments in transaction PFCG are necessary for setting these new parameters.
