In transaction SE73 of SAP, the new bar code type "RFIDGEN2" under "New Bar Code Technology" facilitates the programming of RFID generation 2 tags via compatible label printers. This feature requires specific SAP device drivers provided by certain manufacturers, unlike the typical optical bar codes. Supported printers include SATO RFID printers, as detailed in SAP Note 1135106. The functionality is available from NetWeaver 700 Enhancement Pack 2 (702) and NetWeaver 720. Installation of these drivers in SAP systems can be carried out using regular SAP transport mechanisms. RFIDGEN2 is not compatible with standard SAP-installed drivers like LZPL.
