Summary :
Performance issues have been identified with SAP's automatic clearing program SAPF124, which exhibits a slower operational pace compared to its predecessors, SAPF123 and SAPF123W, especially due to the updating process in production. This is primarily due to the high volume of open items needing urgent clearing and limitations in selection scope. Enhanced performance can be achieved by incorporating regular account maintenance and running the program specifically for one company code, fiscal year, and account. Additionally, configuring the grouping criteria in the Customizing table TF123 (OB74 transaction) can improve processing speed. From Release 4.5B onwards, enhancements including additional selection fields and background job optimizations are implemented to address these issues.
