Summary :
The SNAP table has grown large due to the accumulation of old records. This is part of normal growth due to writing short dumps. Analyzing and deleting these dumps is crucial using ST22. The recommended methods include: using the ST22 transaction’s ‘Reorganization’ feature to delete dumps older than seven days, dropping and recreating the SNAP table via SE14, employing the RSSNAPDL program for gradual deletion while avoiding database issues, and using the RSNAPJOB program to schedule daily deletions at 1:00 AM. Automatic reorganization also deletes a maximum of 20 old dumps during each new short dump occurrence.
