Summary :
In SAP, once an order accrues actual costs, modifications to the profit center assignment are restricted, generating the error IW034 'Changes to the profit center not allowed.' This issue affects transactions IW32 and IW38. A permanent change to this restriction isn't supported after the release. However, a workaround provided entails modifying the related settings (!) as detailed in the supporting documentation. Implementation of this fix comes with certain risks and consequences outlined in SAP Note 49294 related to CO orders. Note that these changes cannot be applied using transaction SNOTE and modification instructions are contained in an attached document, specified in Note 117544.
