SAP Note 116318 - ALLOCATION: Authorizations for cycles

Component : Period-end Closing -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/116318 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses the lack of authorization checks for objects within certain cyclic financial processes like assessment, distribution, and indirect activity allocation in transactions such as KSU5, KSUB, and others. Due to the computational intensity involved in handling numerous objects, SAP has omitted automatic authorization checks to avoid significant performance degradation. Instead, from Release 4.0A, SAP recommends using customer exits via CMOD where user-specific validations can be implemented, alongside enhancements SAPMKAL1 for cycle maintenance and SAPMKGA2 for cycle execution programming. Note 1593931 contains related details.
