SAP Note 1149088 - iSeries: Adding a directory to a work process

Component : IBM AS/400 -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1149088 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
At system startup, the SAP IFS searches a predefined path for work process object requests, including PASE programs and libraries. If a different PASE program needs to be used, for example, for cryptography, it can't be added to the path list directly. The solution is to append a new directory path to the existing LIBPATH via the instance profile by adding "as4/ADDLIBPATH = /usr/sap/..." where the path specified is a placeholder. Ensure correct spelling of the parameters. For versions 640 and 700, applying specific patches for R3INLPGM and STARTSAP is required. Kernels 701/702/720 already have this capability.

Key words :
as4/addlibpath = /usr/sap/, patch level 4this function, sap pase kernel programs, patch level 27     patch startsap, patch level 21     patch startsap, predefined path list, additional ifs path, integrated file system, pase program library, patch level 4700
