When configuring the timeout settings for the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) Service (WebGUI) through SICF, changes to session timeouts may not take effect due to incorrect service handling detailed in SAP Note 1039335. This misconfiguration primarily impacts the ICF service for /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui. A resolution has been implemented in recent kernel patches: patch 96 for Release 7.10, patch 152 for Release 7.00, and patch 224 for Release 6.40. These updates address and resolve the ineffectiveness of the timeout setting adjustments.
