Summary :
When a change is made to sales order processing involving configurable materials in SAP, a system crash termed 'UNKNOWN_INSTANCE' can occur. This termination happens post execution of module CUDB_SET_VAL within SAPLCTMS, following the operation of module CUD0_GET_CONFIGURATION. This interruption is due to a program error. To resolve this, SAP Notes 70181, 88055, 108983, and 132670 should be implemented as precursors. Additionally, for SAP Release 3.0F, Note 71726 needs to be specificallly implemented. Reference provided advance corrections for detailed steps on mitigation.
