Summary :
Work processes in SAP systems are encountering deadlock issues while reading REPOSRC, REPOLOAD, or D345T tables due to an error in the LOB handling capability in outdated SQLDBC interface versions. Affected versions are specifically 7.6.03 (builds before 16), 7.6.04 (before 08), 7.6.05 (before 04), 7.7.02 (before 21), 7.7.03 (before 24), 7.7.04 (before 10), and 7.7.05 (before 03). Deadlocks occur when multiple tasks try to convert shared LOB locks to exclusive ones, leading to unresolvable database lock conflicts. Temporary mitigation includes disabling remote generation per Note 597885. Permanent fixes are available in updated SQLDBC builds as detailed in the note.
