Summary :
Starting from SAP Basis Release 7.00 SP15, transaction RZ20 supports monitoring of remote Oracle databases. Users must ensure remote Oracle databases are registered in the DBA cockpit with "Active" status, necessitating at least a secondary data connection. ABAP systems version 4.6C or newer, as well as non-ABAP systems, are compatible, provided the Oracle database is at minimum version 9. Required installations include BR*Tools patches depending on the Oracle client version used. Specific SQL synonym commands are needed for older setups. Further, system configurations and prerequisite fulfillment as instructed should align with SAP Note 1028624 for successful monitoring. Corrective actions from subsequent notes must be implemented to rectify identified issues in monitoring functions within RZ20 across various support packages, optimizing transaction executions and database inspections.
