Summary :
In the spool administration (Transaction SPAD), changes made to an output device, device type, or print character set are not reflected in the print output from R/3; the system continues to use the old settings. This issue persists even after importing device types or character sets using reports RSTXSCRP or RSTXCPAG. The cause is due to extensive buffers in spooler and character set administration, which use old data if not manually reset. As of Release 4.0A, these buffers can be cleared directly in SPAD. To resolve the issue in earlier releases, various actions including running report RSTXDELL or restarting spool work processes may be necessary.
