This SAP Note addresses the occurrence of DATASET_WRITE_ERROR or DATASET_TELL_ERROR in server operating systems using Windows with kernel 700 at patch levels 125 to 137. It traces the issue to modifications in operating system command execution within the RFC handling framework from patch level 125. These changes inadvertently lead to the premature closure of files right after opening. Subsequent read or write operations that extend beyond the file buffer reveal this error as the operating system detects the already closed file. The resolution is provided through a kernel patch detailed in SAP Note 1093054.
