SAP Note 1093719 - BIA capacity utilization: Preventing overloading

Component : BW Accelerator - TREX

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1093719 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
If high user loads or data volumes overload the SAP NetWeaver BI Accelerator (BIA), it can destabilize the server, causing query terminations. To address this, an enhancement can be implemented to monitor BIA load through key performance indicators such as memory usage and disposal activities. These indicators help assess whether loaded data consumes over 50% of available memory or if main memory unloads exceed twice daily. Alerts are triggered when thresholds are exceeded, prompting corrective actions like data deletion, BIA reconfiguration, or load reduction. Additionally, errors can be generated instead of warnings to force attention to critical overloads.
