Summary :
During an SAP upgrade, errors SQLCODE -904 or -913, REASON 00C90096, manifesting due to excessive page, row, or LOB locks in DB2-z/OS, are encountered. These issues appear in the PARCONV_UPG, TABIM_UPG, and XPRAS_UPG phases. This lock count reaching or surpassing the DB2-z/OS configured limit (NUMLKUS) for a single agent triggers failure. Resolution includes temporarily setting NUMLKUS to zero during the upgrade, and post-upgrade, restoring its original value to finalize the upgrade. As a preventative measure, configuring NUMLKUS to zero at the beginning of an upgrade is advised.
