SAP Note 1081072 - Java instance fails due to corruption in shared memory

Component : Startup Framework -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1081072 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
The SAP JEE instance presents issues with corrupted shared memory, evidenced by failed starts and error messages in logs, such as "invalid eyecatcher" and "SfIRecoverFtData" failures. Additionally, the instance may crash or show empty or inappropriate icons in SAP Management Console due to disconnections or memory access violations. A programming fault in the Startup Framework initiated by updates in the SAP Java VM is identified as the root cause. This specifically occurs with versions from week 29 onwards. Users are advised to apply kernel patch level 61 or modify instance profile parameters to mitigate the issue, particularly by disabling certain VM extensions.

Key words :
add  jstartup/vm/parameters = -xx, sap management console shows, mtx=<address> error => sfirecoverftdata, sap java vm, dev_servern trace files, error => invalid eyecatcher 0, error => shm recovery, empty thread list, rc = 4 invalid argument, shared memory corruption
