Summary :
Despite SAP's recommendation not to close all FI posting periods for a fiscal year (see Note 619969), instances occur where the fiscal year remains open in Asset Accounting and value recalculation is still permissible. This issue is attributed to incorrect handling and undetected errors. The advised correction involves finalizing the year-end closure in Asset Accounting before closing the FI posting periods. Additionally, implementing designated advance corrections will restrict value recalculations when no FI posting periods are open. Related SAP Notes 1106062, 1073002, and 1065154 should also be considered.
