SAP Note 1067344 - Too many entries in FAGL_SPLINFO or FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1067344 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Due to document splitting in SAP FI, excessive entries are logged in FAGL_SPLINFO and FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL tables, which may result in inaccuracies when posting subsequent FI documents to an FI-SL ledger via transaction GCU1. These discrepancies emerge because the entries in FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL do not align with BSEG data. Furthermore, after applying fixes, document splitting does not re-validate fully assigned lines, allowing potential errors such as incorrect cost center entries on balance sheet accounts to persist if all split characteristics are otherwise complete. Organizations should implement program adjustments or import the appropriate Support Package to address these issues.

Key words :
intentionally made manual entry, balance sheet account line, subsequently post fi documents, explicit cost center manually, balance sheet account, fi-sl ledger, subsequently posted amounts, double-line document, general ledger accounting, relevant support package
