Summary :
SAP users previously required an "execookie.txt" file to link document extensions with appropriate applications via the cl_gui_frontend_services->execute method. The new update eliminates the need for this file by enabling the operating system to automatically determine the relevant application for opening files. Users must implement ITS patches (e.g., ITS 620 patch 26) to apply this change. Alternatively, for environments still using the old method, adjustments can be made to the BHTML templates within the ITS settings using transaction SE80, specifically disabling direct execution parameters to revert to the usage of "execookie.txt."
