SAP Note 103334 - Error F5 807 in GI - split deliveries that are too large

Component : Delivery Processing -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/103334 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Error F5 807, indicating "Number of items in document is too large," occurs when goods issue posting hits item capacity restrictions in FI, set at 999 items. The root cause is the three-character limit of the FI item counter. For resolutions, custom modifications in program LV50SF0S are required for deliveries tied to orders, and in program LV50SF0G (up to Release 4.6B) or LV50SF08 (from Release 4.6C) for those with purchase order references. Implementing these causes automatic delivery splits for bulk item deliveries beyond 499 units in transactions like VL04 or VL10, sidestepping the issue of oversized documents. This note supersedes Note 33196 and is not covered in any Support Package.
