Summary :
During system copy or Unicode conversion, it's essential to maintain DB2-specific attributes such as table partitioning, bufferpool assignment, DSSIZE, and compression settings. This SAP Note provides guidance on preserving these attributes using the sapinst/R3load method. For non-unicode systems, manual settings are dictated, while unicode systems apply compression by default. The updated copy process additionally retains certain index features and ordering that don’t usually conform to the data dictionary definitions. Note that SAP NetWeaver 2007 and DB2 v9 aren't supported. Required support packages include SAPKB64017 and SAPKB70008. Implementation involves applying support package stacks and generating SQL files through the SMIGR_CREATE_DDL report.
